SELIGER

 

Max Seliger (1865-1920). German painter.

Artist working in Berlin, quite well known at that time but no longer now. Among his works are frequent male nudes whose models were not callow teenagers like those painted by Thoma, but grown men. This is a feature not common, except for the case of Schneider.
